Get to Know Neal Through Our Quick Interview
Neal joined our company in August of 2021 and works as our saw man at C5 Manufacturing, a trusted provider of truck flatbeds for pickups. Each day, he cuts all flat-stock steel for our facility to ensure all bed and scraper specifications are met. Neal has quickly become a valuable member of our C5 Manufacturing team, and we are appreciative of his hard work and dedication to the company. Learn more about him in a quick interview below!

Tell us about your role at C5 Manufacturing.
At C5 Manufacturing, I oversee the cutting of all flat-stock steel for our different products and ensure that all specifications are met. My role as the saw man includes receiving raw product and putting it into inventory, receiving cut lists for the facility and completing them to the correct measurement and blueprint specifications. Then, I deliver those parts to their area for assembly on our bale beds and truck flatbeds for pickups.

What are some skills that help in your position?
I have worked as a carpenter for most of my adult life, which has helped greatly in my current position. Cutting steel and wood are essentially one in the same.

What do you like about working for C5 Manufacturing?
My favorite thing about working at C5 Manufacturing is the family-oriented environment and the proximity to my home.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I like to play cards, read, hunt, fish, play corn hole, throw horseshoes, and be outside in my spare time! I was also in the Army for six years and have a great love for this country, with several American flag tattoos on my body.

What is a food that you’re passionate about?
I enjoy smoking meat on my Traeger grill and drinking beer.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to know that I was the Emergency Disaster Coordinator with the Salvation Army for Central Kansas and the Western Missouri area. I spent three months on the ground after the tornado in Joplin, Missouri, and the tornado in Greensburg, Kansas.
